Sometimes screenshots are very useful when you want to quickly capture visual content on your screen, share information, or save important documents like payment receipts and chat logs. So, I would like to share the easy ways on how to take screenshot on your Windows 11 PC.

You can take your screenshot using different methods based on your screenshot scenario, such as the whole screen, just the window screen, or a piece of irregular shape. Actually, you can find a lot of screenshot methods on Google. Here, I share the easy ways to get it done simply and quickly. Continue reading and remember the best ways.

1. Entire Screen Screenshot (Win + PrtSc)

This way can direct screenshot your entire screen and save in yours screenshot folder:

Step 1: Press Windows + PrtScn.

Step 2: Your screen will dim briefly, indicating a screenshot has been taken.

Step 3: Go to your Pictures > Screenshots folder, you will find your screenshot picture.

2. Part of Screen Screenshot (Using Snipping Tool)

There are 3 ways to open your snipping tools: 

  1. Using Keyboard Shortcuts: Press Windows + Shift + S to open the Snipping Tool directly and choose the type of snip you want to take.
  2. Via the Start Menu: Click on the Start menu, type “Snipping Tool” in the search bar, and select the Snipping Tool from the results. After opening the tool, click New button to start a snip.
  3. Press PrtSc Key: Windows 11 that allows us to configure PrtSc key to launch the Snipping Tool;Go to Settings > AccessibilityKeyboard > Enabled option “Use the Print Screen button to open screen snipping”
 How to Use Snipping Tool:

  • Rectangular Snip: Click and drag to capture a specific area.
  • Window Snip: Click on the window you want to capture.
  • Full-screen Snip: Capture the entire screen.
  • Freeform Snip: Draw a freeform shape around the area you want to capture.

After capturing, your screenshot is copied to the clipboard. You can paste it into an image editor or save it directly from the Snipping Tool’s built-in editor.

3. Screenshot Using Game Bar

Another way using Game Bar to take screenshot and it is saved in the Captures folder (usually found in your Videos directory).

Step 1: Press Windows + G to open the Game Bar.

Step 2: Click the camera icon or press Windows + Alt + PrtScn to take screenshot.

Step 3: Go to your Videos > Captures folder, you will find your screenshot picture.
